Brief.
The team at Luux approached us to assist with the development of their bold vision for sustainable sunglasses. Having a manufacturer already lined up, we worked with them to visualise their range of sunglasses, all made from sustainable wood sources such as zebrano, walnut and ebony.
Process.
Using predominantly digital sketching, we were able to sit with the Luux team to sketch out the shapes and forms for the range of sunglasses. Through this collaborative approach we were able to quickly and efficiently produce a range of technical drawings to scale, which then made communication with the manufacturer simple.
Result.
Luux have gone on to launch an online-only brand with a direct to consumer business model, with great success. The success they achieved with the initial designs has allowed them to continue to grow and add new products to the range, all still based on the ethos of using sustainable FSC certified forestry sources. You can shop the range here.
“npd were so accommodating until we got the end results we needed and that meant that our manufacturers had our ideas and visions clearly communicated. We will definitely be using them again in the future.”
